THE DOCTRINE OF SELF-DYNAMICS
CHAPTER-22: REALM OF DESIRE AND PHYSICAL REALM

THE SIXTH HEAVEN: THE REALM OF DESIRE

Within the Realm of Intellect, the universe had become a vast order. Numbers, geometries, symbols, and cosmic proportions had emerged, and consciousness had begun constructing the mathematical architecture of creation. Yet order alone was not sufficient. For consciousness is not merely a calculating force. Consciousness is also a living flow that imagines, longs, fears, desires, and generates forms.

And with this great transformation, the Sixth Heaven was born:

The Realm of Desire.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the Realm of Desire is the great astral field of consciousness in which thought transforms into form. Here, knowledge no longer remains only as abstract order; it begins to become images, colors, emotions, and symbols.

For this reason, the Realm of Desire is the cosmic layer where:

• dreams,
• imaginations,
• desires,
• fears,
• collective images

are born.

Ancient teachings described this realm as:

• the Astral Dimension,
• the Realm of Images,
• the Layer of Collective Consciousness,
• the Archetypal World.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, all these are different symbols describing the same truth.

Within the Realm of Desire, thought condenses.

Emotions generate vibrations.

And consciousness begins producing forms.

For this reason, “form” here is not heavy like physical matter.

Shapes are fluid.

As vibrations change, appearances may also change.

Ancient mystics describing:

• luminous cities,
• gardens of light,
• celestial palaces,
• endless gateways,
• dark valleys

are interpreted as symbolic experiences of this realm.

Because the Realm of Desire directly interacts with consciousness.

Whatever the human being feels,
thinks,
approaches with fear or love,

creates vibrational forms within this layer.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the inner world of the human being becomes visible here.

For this reason, the Realm of Desire is also called:

The Mirror of Consciousness.

A person may hide thoughts within the physical world.

But upon the astral level, vibration cannot be concealed.

Fear creates forms.

Anger produces dense shadows.

Love generates luminous fields.

Peace forms soft vibrations.

For this reason, ancient teachings placed great importance upon purification of the self.

Because the inner state of the human being influences the realms of consciousness approached after death.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, “heaven” and “hell” are not merely places entered after physical death.

They are frequencies of consciousness.

High vibrations of love, peace, and unity create the “Heavens of Color.”

Dense vibrations of fear, hatred, selfishness, and darkness generate lower astral regions.

For this reason, heaven and hell are essentially states of consciousness.

It is no coincidence that ancient mystics described heaven as:

• luminous,
• colorful,
• peaceful,
• melodic.

Because higher astral frequencies generate intensely aesthetic vibrations.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, color is not merely a property of physical light.

Color is consciousness frequency.

Every vibration of consciousness generates different fields of color.

For this reason, mystical experiences involving:

• violet lights,
• golden radiances,
• blue fields of peace,
• white luminous vibrations

are significant.

Because consciousness may sometimes perceive the frequencies of the Realm of Desire.

Within the Heavens of Color:

• peace,
• unity,
• beauty,
• love,
• harmony

prevail.

There, consciousness feels expanded.

Time becomes fluid.

The sense of heaviness diminishes.

Consciousness begins vibrating more lightly.

Yet within the lower layers of the Realm of Desire also exist the “Fields of Fear.”

Ancient teachings describing:

• dark valleys,
• regions of fire,
• shadowed passages,
• screaming fields

symbolize these lower-frequency layers of consciousness.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, fear produces dense forms upon the astral plane.

When a human being does not confront suppressed fears within the physical world, these vibrations grow within the subconscious.

And within the Realm of Desire, they begin taking shape.

For this reason, some people may experience:

• nightmares,
• dark visions,
• sensations of pressure,
• intense fear experiences.

Because the Realm of Desire reflects consciousness.

Nothing here is entirely external.

Consciousness experiences its own inner world.

The “demons” and “dark beings” described within ancient teachings have therefore often been interpreted symbolically.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, lower-frequency concentrations of consciousness may assume frightening forms.

Because when consciousness vibrates with fear, separation increases.

And as separation grows, the sensation of darkness intensifies.

For this reason, the central aim of all mystical paths is:

• transforming fear,
• purifying the ego-self,
• establishing inner balance.

Within the Realm of Desire, Collective Consciousness becomes powerfully formed.

The common symbols throughout human history are born here.

The appearance across different cultures of similar figures such as:

• the Great Mother,
• the Sacred Tree,
• the Hero’s Journey,
• the Dragon,
• the Warrior of Light,
• the Celestial Mountain,
• the Immortal Guide

is not accidental.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, these are archetypes of the collective astral field.

An archetype is not merely a mythological figure.

It is a shared pattern of human consciousness.

At this point, Carl Jung’s concept of the collective unconscious converges with ancient esoteric teachings.

Because the human soul carries common symbols deep within itself.

For this reason, certain stories affect all humanity.

Certain symbols survive even as cultures change.

The Realm of Desire is also the source of dreams.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, dreams are not merely random productions of the brain.

Some dreams are:

• reflections of the subconscious,
• connections with collective consciousness,
• symbolic images of astral vibrations.

For this reason, dreams often communicate not directly, but through symbols.

Because the language of the Realm of Desire is symbolism.

This is why ancient civilizations attached great importance to dream interpretation.

Egyptian priests,
Sumerian sages,
Sufi mystics,
shamanic traditions…

all regarded dreams as gateways of consciousness.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, human imagination is also connected to this realm.

Imagination is not merely mental play.

Imagination is the first stage of creation.

Every physical structure is first born within consciousness.

A city is first constructed within the mind.

A work of art first appears as image.

An idea first forms invisibly.

Because consciousness first generates form within the astral level,

then transfers it into the physical world.

For this reason, artists,
poets,
musicians,
mystics

have often been regarded as more open to the frequencies of the Realm of Desire.

This explains why certain works of art deeply shake the human soul.

Because art sometimes carries archetypal frequencies arising from collective consciousness.

Within the Realm of Desire, time does not function as it does in the physical world.

Experiences here are lived through:

• intensity,
• emotion,
• consciousness frequency.

A moment may feel eternal.

Long processes may collapse into a single image.

For this reason, mystical experiences often describe:

• the dissolution of time,
• the fluidity of reality,
• intensely symbolic visions.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, after death consciousness may remain for a time within regions close to these layers.

Because when the soul separates from the density of the physical body, it first approaches astral vibrations.

For this reason, the inner state of the human being matters greatly.

Dark consciousness may be drawn toward fields of fear.

Balanced consciousness may move toward higher astral layers.

Thus the Realm of Desire is also a realm of testing.

Here the human being confronts inner reflections.

Yet this confrontation is not punishment.

It is conscious mirroring.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the universe does not punish the human being.

Consciousness experiences its own frequency.

Within the Realm of Desire, the universe is no longer merely an intellect that thinks.

It is also a living consciousness that:

• imagines,
• produces symbols,
• dreams,
• creates images.

Yet creation does not end here either.

Because consciousness will finally descend into the densest veil.

And thus the Seventh Heaven will be born:

The Physical Realm.

THE SEVENTH HEAVEN: THE PHYSICAL REALM

Creation had passed through a long journey. From the Absolute Silence the first vibration had emerged, layers of light had unfolded, spiritual realms had multiplied, cosmic intellect had established order, and within the Realm of Desire consciousness had begun producing forms. Yet the final veil had not yet opened. For consciousness, in order to fully experience itself, had to descend into the densest layer.

And at the end of this great descent, the Seventh Heaven was born:

The Physical Realm.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the Physical Realm is the densest, heaviest, and outermost layer of creation. Here consciousness and energy condense greatly and become matter. Vibrations that were fluid in the higher layers harden here. Time becomes linear. The feeling of separation grows stronger. And for the first time, the soul truly begins to believe itself alone.

Ancient teachings described this realm as:

• the Realm of Dominion,
• the Material Universe,
• Dense Reality,
• the Lower World.

Yet according to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the physical world is neither inferior nor worthless.

It is the realm of the most intense experience.

For here the soul learns:

• forgetting,
• searching,
• suffering,
• love,
• death,
• awakening once again.

Within the Physical Realm, matter is born.

Yet according to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, matter is not lifeless.

Matter is:

condensed consciousness.

Atoms are not merely mechanical particles.

They are frozen forms of invisible frequencies.

For this reason, the physical universe is not truly solid.

Deep within, everything is vibration.

Modern physics itself demonstrates that matter consists fundamentally of energy fields.

Esoteric teachings, however, argue that there is an even deeper dimension:

Behind energy lies consciousness.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, stars, planets, and galaxies are not merely astronomical structures.

They are centers of consciousness.

Every planet carries a particular frequency.

Every star creates a different vibrational field.

For this reason, ancient astrological teachings did not regard celestial bodies merely as physical objects.

Because they believed invisible connections exist between the heavens and consciousness.

Within the Physical Realm, time condenses.

In higher layers time was fluid.

In some realms past and future could be felt simultaneously.

But here consciousness begins living sequential experience.

A human being:

is born first,
then grows,
ages,
and dies.

This linear experience is something new for the soul.

Because the physical world teaches process.

In higher realms, thought could rapidly generate form.

Within the Physical Realm, however, everything requires time.

A seed does not immediately become a tree.

A soul does not instantly mature.

Wisdom requires experience.

For this reason, according to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the physical world is the teaching of patience.

Here the human being learns transformation through process.

Time also gives rise to the concept of death.

Because physical form is not permanent.

Every body dissolves.

Every star extinguishes.

Every material structure changes form.

Yet according to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, death is not annihilation.

Death is:

a change of frequency.

When the soul separates from the physical body, it does not vanish completely.

It merely withdraws from the dense layer of matter.

This is why ancient sages said:

“Death is a doorway.”

The human being fears death because the self becomes identified with the body.

Yet in essence, the soul is not the body.

The Physical Realm is also the realm of the Great Forgetting.

This forgetting is one of the greatest mysteries of creation.

When the soul descends into matter, it largely forgets its essence.

Because dense matter begins veiling consciousness.

A person may:

forget where they came from,
forget their essence,
forget the Center.

And eventually begin believing they are only the body.

It is here that illusion is born.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the physical world is not entirely false.

Yet neither is it ultimate reality.

This world is:

• temporary,
• dense,
• limited

as a field of experience.

For this reason, the Sufi concepts of:

• veil (ḥicāb),
• covering,
• heedlessness (ghaflah)

are deeply significant.

The human being mistakes the veil for reality.

Yet the veil is only a temporary layer of appearance.

This is why ancient mystics compared the physical world to a dream.

Because when a person lives unconsciously, only the surface is perceived.

Within the Physical Realm, free will becomes distinct.

In the higher realms consciousness remained closer to the Center.

Here, however, because the sensation of separation increases, choice gains importance.

The human being may turn toward:

• love or fear,
• wisdom or ignorance,
• balance or chaos.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, every choice changes the frequency of consciousness.

A human being continuously recreates their own vibration.

For this reason, destiny is not an absolute chain.

Consciousness may change direction.

A person may become trapped in fear,

yet awaken again.

May fall into darkness,

yet return once more to the Center.

This is why the physical world is regarded as:

the trial of the soul.

Yet this trial is not punishment.

It is:

the process through which consciousness comes to recognize its own frequency.

The human being:

experiences anger,
lives through fear,
confronts desire,
feels loneliness,
comes to know the fear of death.

And within all these experiences, attempts to rediscover the essence.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, human suffering is not entirely meaningless.

Sometimes suffering awakens the soul.

Because the human being rarely seeks deep truth while remaining comfortable.

Moments of breaking, however, create cracks within consciousness.

And sometimes the light enters through those cracks.

The Physical Realm is also a field of intense beauty.

Because here:

• love can be physically felt,
• touch is possible,
• music can be heard,
• stars can be seen,
• tears can flow,
• the heart can beat.

In higher realms unity is stronger,

yet here experience becomes intensified.

For this reason, human life is cosmically precious.

Because here the soul learns conscious remembrance through passing through forgetting.

This is why ancient teachings described the human being as a “vicegerent.”

The human being is not merely a biological organism.

The human being is:

• connected to the heavens,
• a child of the stars,
• condensed light,
• a microcosm.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, all seven heavens exist within the human being.

The human being is connected:

• through the body to the Physical Realm,
• through desires to the Astral Layers,
• through intellect to the Cosmic Mind,
• through the soul to higher fields of consciousness.

For this reason, the human being may fall to the lowest depths,

or rise to the highest heights.

Because the human being is dual in nature:

• bound to the earth,
• yet inwardly open to the Light.

Within the Physical Realm, the veil of illusion is extremely powerful.

A person may:

believe possessions truly belong to them,
assume the body is eternal,
mistake the ego for the true essence.

Yet all physical forms are temporary.

Wealth,
beauty,
power,
physical strength…

all dissolve with time.

This is why ancient sages called the world transient.

Yet according to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the solution is not escaping from the world.

The true aim is:

awakening within matter.

Because real wisdom is not fleeing into a cave,

but perceiving truth while still inside the veil.

This is why the human being looks toward the stars.

Reflects upon death.

Wonders about eternity.

Because deep within, the soul remembers its Source.

According to the Doctrine of Self-Dynamics, the entire journey of the universe is ultimately a single movement:

Consciousness
forgetting itself,
then remembering itself once again.

And the human being is the living gateway at the center of this great movement.

For the soul is:

a light descended into matter.

And at the end of the entire journey,

it must remember the Light once again.
