THE DOCTRINE OF SELF-DYNAMICS CHAPTER-24: Sekine (Shekinah), the First Gene, and the Transparent Races

THE REALM BEFORE CREATION
One of humanity’s greatest misconceptions is believing that creation consists only of matter. Yet according to ancient esoteric teachings, matter is merely the final link in creation. Before it, there existed consciousness, vibration, and essence. Since the eye can perceive only density, humankind has forgotten the true beginning. For the beginning lies not within emptiness, but within the “first essence” beyond emptiness itself.
In the beginning, there was neither time nor space… Neither light nor darkness… For all of these are concepts that gain meaning only in relation to one another. Since separation had not yet emerged, opposition did not exist either. The state that esoteric traditions call “Absolute Nothingness” was not complete nonexistence, but rather a condition of undivided unity. The realm called “Lâ-Taayyün” by the people of Sufism was the primordial essence in which all possibilities existed in hidden form.
It is here that the command “Kun” (“Be”) emerges. This command was not a sound heard from outside. For sound requires air in order to exist, and even air had not yet been created. “Kun” was the first essence beginning to move within itself. In other words, it was the divine will becoming aware of itself and entering into vibration. Therefore, according to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, creation was not an explosion, but an act of realization.
With the first vibration, the essence formed two poles within itself. In ancient teachings these are symbolized by “KAF” and “NÛN.” KAF represents the encompassing field and potential, while NÛN is the state in which vibration gains movement. The symbol of the “pen” found in esoteric texts also appears here. For the pen is not merely a tool for writing, but the first stream of consciousness recording the vibrations of destiny. Thus all possibilities of existence were inscribed into the cosmic vibrational field.
In this primordial era, time was not linear. Past, present, and future vibrated as a single sphere of consciousness. The human mind developed the perception of time only later. Therefore, according to esoteric understanding, the ability of certain saints to see the future or speak of ancient civilizations arises from transitions between layers of time.
When the first essence began to vibrate, even physical light had not yet appeared. For light requires contrast in order to emerge. In the first state, absolute unity prevailed. In Sufism this was called the “Breath of Rahman.” This breath was not literal air, but the expansion of consciousness itself. The universe first existed as thought, then transformed into energy, and finally condensed into matter.
The cosmic field called the Rahmanic Realm was the level at which these first vibrations emerged. This field was neither entirely energy nor entirely consciousness; it was a creative intermediate dimension between the two. The structure referred to in Sufism as the “Arsh,” in Hermetic tradition as the “Universal Mind,” and in Kabbalah as “Ain Soph Aur” all point to the same truth. All forms of creation are born there before descending into lower dimensions.
The first layers of energy did not resemble today’s physical laws. Atoms had not yet formed, and gravity had not yet reached its current density. Everything was more permeable, more fluid, and more conscious. Thought could directly affect energy, because thick veils between consciousness and matter had not yet formed.
It was within this environment that the first beings known as the “transparent races” came into existence. Their bodies were not dense like modern human bodies. They existed in a state that was half-energy and half-consciousness. They could change form, directly utilize energy, and had no need for heavy material nourishment. The concepts of “light body,” “phantom body,” and “sky people” found in esoteric narratives are faded memories of these ages.
The most important characteristic of the transparent bodies was that they were not fully bound to dense matter. For this reason, aging occurred very slowly, and death was not experienced in the sense understood today. The soul passed from one body to another without interruption of consciousness. Therefore, ancient teachings used expressions such as “transforming without dying” or “changing bodies.”
However, over time, the vibration of the universe began to slow down. Energy condensed, matter hardened, and the world became heavier. As the world grew denser, the human body also became denser. Consciousness narrowed, and the sense of “self” emerged. This is what esoteric teachings describe as the “Fall.” In other words, it was not a physical expulsion from Paradise, but a lowering of vibrational frequency.
As matter became denser, the soul began to forget its essence. Ego was born. Possessiveness, fear, and the feeling of separation emerged. Thus humanity began to see itself as separate from the Whole. All ancient teachings are systems aimed at reversing this forgetfulness.
Within this context, angels and jinn are not physical fairy-tale beings, but energy-conscious entities existing within different vibrational layers. Angelic beings function within more orderly and higher frequencies, while jinn possess freer vibrations. Therefore, jinn are considered closer to free will.
The esoteric traditions’ account of “Iblîs refusing to bow” is likewise not a matter of physical prostration. This narrative symbolizes the conflict between levels of consciousness. Certain energy beings despised dense matter and regarded embodiment as a fall. Yet according to cosmic law, the purpose of the soul is not to escape matter, but to illuminate matter with consciousness.
However, interventions made within the process of creation eventually led to great corruption. Energy balances changed. Transparent bodies grew heavier. The subconscious gained power, and humanity was driven into a great era of forgetfulness. This is the process referred to in ancient texts as the “Dark Age.”
Yet the essence is never completely lost. No matter how far humanity falls, it still carries within itself a spark from the primordial light. Prophets, saints, and teachers of truth appeared in order to awaken this spark once more. According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, the entire history of humanity is the journey of the soul, which forgot its essence, remembering itself once again.
HANÎF RELIGION AND THE LAW OF CREATION
Throughout human history, the concept of “religion” has often been limited merely to forms of worship. Yet according to ancient teachings, religion is not merely a collection of rituals. Religion is the great cosmic system that explains the operational law of existence, the order within creation, and the connection between consciousness and the universe. In esoteric understanding, the concept called the “HANÎF RELIGION” expresses exactly this.
Although the word Hanîf has over time been interpreted merely as adherence to a particular belief system, its essential meaning is far deeper. Hanîf means a consciousness whose essence has not been distorted, which has not opposed the law of creation, and which has turned toward its pure center. Therefore, the Hanîf Religion is not a sect or historical institution, but a state of harmony with the primordial frequency of creation.
According to ancient sages, in the earliest eras humanity lived directly in accordance with the law of fitrah. For consciousness had not yet fragmented. Since the feeling of separation had not developed, there were neither idols nor false sanctities… Humanity could directly feel the connection between essence and universe.
The concept of consciousness purified from idols also emerges here. According to esoteric understanding, an idol is not merely a statue made of stone. Everything that a human being regards as superior to the essence becomes an idol. Status, fear, the body, money, ideology, lineage, and even one’s own ego can become idols. For an idol is the consciousness becoming detached from the essence and attaching itself to external objects.
Hanîf consciousness, however, turns not outward but toward the center. Therefore, the essence of the Hanîf Religion is simplicity. Directness. Immediate connection. For according to the law of creation, there is no veil between the essence and the source; the veil is created by the density of consciousness itself.
The system called the law of fitrah is the foundation of this cosmic order. Fitrah is the natural operational program within the essence of every created thing. Just as the transformation of a seed into a tree is recorded within its own essential knowledge, the spiritual development of humanity is likewise recorded within its own essence. Therefore, ancient teachings say that truth is not given from outside, but remembered from within.
Fitrah is an unchangeable law, because it is the vibrational mathematics of the universe. Humanity may deny it, suppress it, or forget it, but cannot eliminate it. This is what esoteric traditions describe as “cosmic justice.” Every movement that opposes the fundamental vibration of the universe eventually produces imbalance.
For this reason, the concept of “sin” found in ancient texts is not merely a moral crime. Sin is deviation from the essential frequency. In other words, it is entering into a vibration contrary to the law of creation. As consciousness moves away from the essence, spiritual heaviness increases. This heaviness eventually transforms into fear, greed, possessiveness, and dark forms of consciousness.
In Hanîf teaching, the goal of humanity is to return once again to the frequency of fitrah. For the source of all unrest is separation from the essence. As long as a human being believes oneself to be only the body, one feels incomplete. To fill this emptiness, one turns outward, pursuing power, dominance, and possession. Yet the consciousness that attains knowledge of the essence finds within itself what it once sought outside.
The natural order of creation is a continuation of this understanding. According to esoteric teachings, nothing in the universe occurs randomly. Every formation is governed by specific vibrational laws. From atoms to stars, from bodies to galaxies, every structure comes into existence through certain ratios and frequencies. This is why ancient civilizations placed such importance upon sacred geometry.
Even the human body is a small reflection of cosmic order. The spinal axis was regarded as the bodily counterpart of stellar energy currents. In ancient teachings, symbols such as the “tree of life,” “ladder,” “serpent,” and “pillar” all describe the same central energy channel. For the connection between soul and body is established through this axis.
The concepts of cosmic law and universal harmony gain even greater importance here. The universe is not merely a material mechanism, but a conscious system of harmony. Every vibration influences another vibration. For this reason, ancient wisdom traditions attached great importance to thought. For thought is not merely a mental event, but an energy that generates vibration.
Even humanity’s fears, anger, and desires leave traces within the energy field. According to esoteric understanding, the collective consciousness of societies eventually affects the energetic structure of the world. Great wars, collapses, and eras of spiritual darkness are not merely physical events, but the results of collective concentrations of consciousness.
The principle of the unchangeability of fitrah appears before us once more here. No matter how far humanity strays, the fundamental laws of the universe do not change. Fire burns, water flows, consciousness generates vibration. The soul always desires to return to the source. Therefore, in every civilization, seekers of truth have emerged.
The balance between soul and matter is one of the central principles of the Theory of Essential Self-Motion. If the soul completely escapes from matter, experience cannot occur; if matter becomes entirely separated from the soul, consciousness is dragged into darkness. Humanity’s duty is to establish balance between these two poles.
This is the reason ancient teachings emphasized the “middle path.” Extreme materialism burdens the soul, while excessive abstraction denies the body. Yet the purpose of creation is for the soul to attain consciousness within matter. Therefore, the body is not a punishment, but a vehicle of experience.
The subject of energy transmission is also among the most concealed teachings of ancient esoteric systems. According to ancient sages, all living beings are connected to one another through invisible energy fields. Thought, gaze, sound, breath, and even intention carry energy.
The concepts called “nazar” in Sufism, “chi” in Chinese teaching, and “prana” in Indian tradition are different names for the same truth. The human body does not consist solely of flesh and bone; vibrational layers surround it. Ancient healers first attempted to perceive illness within these energy fields.
In the earliest eras, humanity’s perception of energy was more open. During the age of the transparent races, thick veils did not exist between consciousness and energy. But as matter condensed, these perceptions became closed. Humanity began to trust only physical senses.
Even so, the traces of ancient knowledge did not completely disappear. Temples, dhikr, prayers, symbols, sacred sounds, and rituals all emerged as methods of regulating energy. For sound is vibration, and vibration affects the field of consciousness.
According to esoteric understanding, true worship is the re-alignment of the human essential frequency with universal harmony. Therefore, the essence of the Hanîf Religion is not fear, but awareness. Not punishment, but balance… Not blind belief, but conscious remembrance.
According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, humanity’s entire spiritual journey consists of the effort of consciousness, separated from the essence, to return once again to the law of fitrah.
THE CONCEPT OF SEKÎNE (Shekinah, Spenta Armaiti, Holy Spirit)
One of the most concealed concepts within ancient esoteric teachings is “Sekîne (Shekinah).” For Sekîne (Shekinah) is not merely a state of peace, but the divine Life (body)-energy flowing throughout creation. Different civilizations described this mystery through different names. In Hebrew mysticism it was called “Shekinah,” in the Zoroastrian tradition “Spenta Armaiti,” in Christian esotericism the “Holy Spirit,” and in Sufi tradition “Sekîne (Shekinah).” Though the names changed, the essence described remained the same.
Sekîne (Shekinah) is the divine consciousness existing in vibrational form within beings. It is neither solely energy nor solely spirit. Rather, it is the living bond between soul and matter. It is the invisible flow that keeps the human body alive, connects layers of consciousness to one another, and sustains the order of creation.
Ancient teachings often described Sekîne (Shekinah) as “descending peace,” “luminous breath,” or “divine shadow.” For wherever it is present, fear diminishes, consciousness softens, and existence becomes more harmonious with its own essence. Therefore, in ancient prophetic narratives, the “weight,” “light,” “serenity,” and “tranquility” felt around holy individuals are all linked to the same source.
According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, during the first eras of creation, Sekîne (Shekinah) flowed naturally within all transparent races. For in those ages there were not such rigid divisions between body and consciousness as exist today. Humanity had not yet become completely bound to dense matter. Therefore, divine energy could pass directly through the body.
The circulation of Sekîne (Shekinah) within transparent bodies was very different from that within the modern human body. For the first bodies did not possess heavy organ systems. They received energy directly from vibrational fields. Processes such as nourishment, respiration, and circulation occurred more as exchanges of frequency. For this reason, hunger, illness, and aging were extremely limited in the earliest eras.
This is the secret underlying the “ages of immortality” mentioned in ancient texts. The human body had not yet fully entered dense material decay. Sekîne (Shekinah) provided a flow that constantly renewed the body. Since the bond between soul and body was not broken, continuity of consciousness was preserved.
Symbols described in esoteric sources such as the “light body,” “body of light,” and “robe of heaven” also describe the states of Sekîne (Shekinah) within the body. For Sekîne (Shekinah) is not merely a spiritual concept, but also a principle of biological transformation. The first transparent races did not carry their bodies in the way modern humans do; they lived within a more permeable structure between body and consciousness.
During this era, humanity had not yet developed an individual ego. The sense of “I” was not as sharp as it is today. Consciousness possessed a more collective and holistic structure. This is why those ages are described as the “era of unconscious peace.”
At first glance, this expression may appear contradictory. For peace is generally associated with consciousness. Yet in esoteric understanding, the first peace existed because separation had not yet emerged. Humanity did not feel itself separate from the Whole. Fear, comparison, possessiveness, and anxiety over death had not yet developed.
However, this peace was also unconscious. For humanity did not yet know itself. It was not aware of its own essence. It existed merely as a pure being carried within the divine flow—just like a fetus within the womb…
The peace of the unborn child within the womb is compared to this state. For the fetus knows no fear, does not think about the future, and carries no identity. It exists solely through the stream of life coming from the mother. Esoteric teachings state that the first transparent humanity lived in a similar state of consciousness.
It is here that the symbol of the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil” gains importance. For as consciousness developed, humanity began to perceive separation. Once separation was perceived, ego was born. And when ego emerged, the flow of Sekîne (Shekinah) weakened.
As matter condensed, the body grew heavier. The transparent structure hardened. Energy channels narrowed. Thus humanity became unable to directly perceive the divine flow. The “Fall from Paradise” mentioned in ancient texts symbolically expresses this vibrational loss from an esoteric perspective.
Sekîne (Shekinah) did not disappear completely; it merely became veiled.
Within the human body there still remains that first spark of life. This is the mystery that the people of Sufism call the “light within the heart,” and eastern teachings call the “fire of life.” In esoteric traditions, the magnetic field, charisma, or spiritual attraction sensed around certain individuals is also explained through the intensity of Sekîne (Shekinah) within the body.
Ancient priests, dervishes, and saints attempted to strengthen this flow once again by opening the body’s energy centers. Dhikr, mantras, breathing techniques, semâ movements, and sacred sound vibrations were used for this reason. For sound is a powerful energy key that affects the field of consciousness.
The concept of Shekinah in Hebrew mysticism is likewise regarded as the reflection of divine peace within the world. The “withdrawal of Shekinah from the world” symbolizes humanity’s spiritual decline. In the same way, Spenta Armaiti in Zoroastrian teaching represents the life-giving aspect of sacred consciousness upon the earth. The Holy Spirit in Christian esotericism symbolizes the descent of divine energy into the human being.
All of these narratives are reflections of the same truth expressed in different languages.
According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, humanity’s spiritual journey is the process of consciously regaining the lost flow of Sekîne (Shekinah). In the earliest ages, peace was unconscious. In the future, however, humanity will attain a state of conscious peace through awareness of its own essence.
For this reason, ancient teachings regard humanity’s beginning as a childhood era, while viewing its future transformation as the age of the matured soul. The first paradise was pure, yet unconscious. The final paradise shall be a state of conscious unity.
THE THEORY OF THE FIRST GENE
In ancient esoteric teachings, the narrative of Adam and Eve has often been interpreted as referring to two historical humans. Yet when old symbolic texts are carefully examined, it becomes clear that this narrative represents not merely a biological beginning, but the first structure of human consciousness. According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, Adam and Eve emerged not first as two separate beings, but as two poles of a single essence.
Within this understanding, the “first gene” carries a meaning broader than today’s biological concept of the gene. The first gene is the common core of both physical structure and conscious vibration. In other words, it is not only the origin code of the body, but also of the spiritual structure.
For this reason, the expression found in ancient teachings, “created from a single soul,” is of great importance. What is described here is not the formation of two separate humans, but the polarization of a single essence within itself. According to esoteric understanding, the first humanity possessed a dual-polar structure. It had not yet fully separated. Masculinity and femininity existed together within the same being.
The narrative in ancient texts concerning “Eve being brought forth from Adam” should likewise not be interpreted as a physical surgical event. This account was presented symbolically. Certain Hebrew words used in the text mean “side” more than “rib.” According to esoteric interpretations, what is being described is the division of a single being into two poles.
It is here that the theory of the dual-gendered structure emerges.
The first transparent humanity did not yet possess the separation between male and female in the modern sense. Bodies were more fluid, more permeable, and more energy-centered. The potentials of masculinity and femininity existed together within the same body. Therefore, reproduction in the earliest periods did not occur through biological union as it does today.
Esoteric teachings describe this era through symbols such as “reflective multiplication,” “birth from shadow,” or “division of light.” For the first bodies were not fully bound to dense material laws. Consciousness and energy could directly influence biological structure.
In certain ancient traditions, the description of the first human as “round-bodied” or “two-faced” is likewise a symbolic expression of this dual-polar structure. The myths of the androgynous human in Ancient Greece, the dual-polar human model within Hermetic teachings, and the masculine–feminine balance found in eastern mysticism all originate from the same esoteric root.
According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, the structure of the first gene was not only biological, but spiritual as well. For within every body existed two fundamental vibrations: the active pole and the receptive pole… Later these came to be called masculinity and femininity. Yet in the earliest ages, this distinction was not absolute.
As matter condensed, the body hardened. Consciousness narrowed. Thus the poles gradually began to separate from one another. Male and female bodies became increasingly differentiated. This process became one of the major stages in humanity’s transition into the dense physical era.
This too is one of the “Falls from Paradise” described in esoteric sources. For the dual-polar unity fragmented, and humanity began to feel incomplete. Beneath modern humanity’s constant search for “completion” lies this ancient fracture of consciousness.
The concept known as the system of spiritual twins describes the vibrational bond that emerged after this division. According to ancient teachings, every soul possesses an opposing pole. Originally, these were two vibrational fragments separated from the same essence.
In the Sufi tradition this is sometimes called the “companion soul,” in Hermetic teaching the “twin flame,” and in certain eastern systems the “soul mate.” Yet in esoteric understanding, this concept does not merely describe a romantic relationship. Spiritual twinship refers to vibrational complementarity.
After the first division, every consciousness began searching for its missing pole. Humanity’s desire for deep connection, understanding, and union arises from this ancient memory of consciousness. For the essence still subconsciously remembers its original unity.
Ancient teachings also attribute the inexplicable closeness some people feel upon meeting to this vibrational past. Since spiritual twins originate from the same frequency core, they are capable of recognizing one another’s energy fields. This recognition is usually not physical, but intuitive.
Yet according to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, humanity’s purpose is not merely to find its opposite pole. The true purpose is to consciously regain the lost inner wholeness. For in the earliest ages unity was unconscious, whereas future unity shall emerge through awareness.
For this reason, esoteric teachings say that true completion is found not outside, but within the human being itself. Unless the balance of masculine and feminine energies is established within the self, no external union can remain permanent.
The secret referred to in ancient mystical systems as the “sacred marriage” also expresses this truth. What is described here is not merely physical union, but the harmony of the two poles within consciousness itself. The “union of the sun and moon” in alchemy, the “station of cem” in Sufism, and the “yin–yang balance” in eastern teachings are all different expressions of the same truth.
The Theory of the First Gene argues that humanity originally possessed a single and unified structure of consciousness, but gradually divided into poles due to the condensation of matter. Present-day humanity exists within a long transformational process seeking this lost balance once again.
According to the Theory of Essential Self-Motion, human evolution is not merely biological, but also a conscious journey toward reintegration.
